Q10’s Karaoke Recording Studio Experience
The ideal gift for singers of all ages.
We all do it - belt out hits in the shower, sing along to the radio with a hairbrush for a mic. With this experience you'll get to take your talent out of the shower and into the studio. Come along to Q10 Studios having rehearsed your song or piece, and have the studio to yourself so that you can make a great recording. We will provide backing tracks if you don’t have you own & post them to you providing you have booked at least two weeks in advance. A experienced session engineer/producer will guide you through the process and give you expert advice on giving the best performance (and be a lot more friendly than Simon Cowell). You'll also get a feel for the mixing process and what happens behind the scenes in the music industry - and maybe get to hear some stories about stars that your engineer has worked with! You can also bring along guests to act as groupies. Take home your best performance from the session on CD. Who knows - maybe you've got the x factor?
• Cut your own disc at Q10’s professional recording studio.
• Plenty of time to record your song, then choose the best ones to take home on CD.
• Expert advice (and maybe some music biz stories) from your session engineer. Participant Guidelines: Under 14s or 16s (depending on venue) must be accompanied by an adult. Up to two people are welcome to take part. Duration: recording session will last for four hours. This is enough time to record at least two songs, but please come well rehearsed so as not to waste any of your studio time on practice and retakes. (we will send you a copy of the song/songs in advance if requested). Spectators: Are welcome. They can bring cameras or video cameras. Availability:Seven days a week all year round. Dates fill up quickly, so book at least four weeks in advance, or even earlier for summer weekends. Other Info:If you have problems finding a particular track, Q10 studios has an extensive catalogue of songs and will be happy to help. DRUM KIT FOR HIRE
Having a gig got no drum kit?
@ a gig, did nobody bring a drum kit?
Problem solved…. We have a drum kit for you to hire, not only that but we have five different packages. (Subject to availability, book in advance to avoid disappointment). To make transporting the kit easier, Hard/Flight cases for the Toms & Hardware will be provided..
5. Individual part of the kit for £4 per part, e.g. kick pedal on its own, or a cymbal stand on its own, Snare stand on its own ect. Up to three individual parts= £12. After that you need to hire one of the other four options.
Subject to Q10 Studios terms & conditions:
A. Drivers licence or passport must be left @ the studio.
B. Phone number+ Name of the venue must be given (we may call the venue to ask them details of bands gigging there)
C. The drum kit parts hired must be returned to Q10 Studios by the responsible person/s no later than 2pm the next day. After 2pm a £10 penalty will apply until 6pm then a £15 penalty until 9pm then a £25 penalty per day the drum kit is late.
D. Any physical damage to the drum kit will be paid for in full by the band’s or responsible person/s involved. (excludes Natural wear & tear on drums & drum skins & small scratches from normal use)
E. Any venue hiring the drum kit out-with or on behalf of bands is subject to all of the above conditions. (venues are not liable if the bands hire the kit themselves).

A Short History of the Studios:
Originally St Clair Studios, the recording studio of “Hue & Cry” . Then it was “Wet Wet Wet’s” turn with The Brillbuilding studios, there second Glasgow studio & where they recorded their version of “The Trogs” Love is All Around. Core studios came next And was ran as a co op by the staff (sadly no more). Now we are Q10 Studios, hopefully for a long time to come.
